Incredible service, the staff there were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Food came promptly and the environment was wonderful. Small restaurant with great decor and relatively clean bathrooms. Had lots of drink options and the poutine was great. 5/5, heavily recommend.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Yummy poutine and drink options as well as a bathroom available inside. The menu clearly outlines which options are vegetarian, halal, etc so that was super helpful.

Great menu selection and the food itself was delicious. Fresh, crispy fries and big portions. We tried a few different topping options and each one was great in its own way. I wish I could give 10 stars for service though, the man working was so nice and friendly! He gave us recommendations and didn't hesitate to ask how our food was. Restaurant itself and the bathrooms were both very clean.

We stopped by The Great Canadian Poutine Snack Shack around 6:00 PM and had a great experience. The place was clean, cozy, and not busy at all, perfect for a quick, casual dinner. Poutine prices range from about $7.75 for the classic to $25 for the more original options. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch poutine, which I’d definitely recommend if you like a sweet and salty combo. The ranch adds a salty kick, the fries were cooked just right, and the toppings were generous. Bonus points for a clean bathroom and fast service. Would absolutely come back next time I’m in town.they also use Canadian potatoes!

Overall really good. Walking in, they greet you but not like any other restaurant, they add a friendly Canadian touch. They also are very friendly, funny and right to the point. Food and very good and traditional, I personally ordered the pulled pork poutine. The down sides are not related to the actual restaurant itself but, there’s no parking since it’s bank st and there’s a heavy cannabis and cigarette odour. No matter which crew member you go with, it’s always good service. The one I usually go with is Gregory as I come during his hours.

The Great Canadian Poutinerie on Bank St. in Ottawa comes highly recommended, and having visited with no prior knowledge of the establishment, I can certainly appreciate the recommendation. The interior boasts an interesting and unique decor, creating a distinctive and enjoyable ambiance for diners. We were greeted and served by a friendly staff who were attentive and made the experience even better. While the menu might not have the overwhelming number of choices that some dedicated poutine establishments in Montreal might offer, it stands out in Ottawa for its variety, particularly its impressive selection of non-traditional poutine options. Beyond the classics, they feature numerous creative and inventive takes on the dish. The poutine we ordered was legitimately very good. The quality of the ingredients was evident, from the well-prepared fries to the rich and flavorful gravy. Although the cheese curds weren't particularly squeaky, they were still of good quality and contributed nicely to the overall taste and texture of the poutine. Considering the generous portion size and the quality of the meal, the price was quite reasonable. This was a thoroughly satisfying poutine experience, and I would happily return to explore more of their menu in the future.
